Utah Nonprofits Association – Privacy Policy

The Utah Nonprofits Association (UNA) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate UNA’s firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by our website , and how this information is used. UNA does not actively gather information on you when you visit our web site. Our Internet service host, NPSIS, may collect and store information your web browser sends when it requests our web pages, but we do not access this information. For more information on NPSIS’s Privacy Policy, go to http://www.npsis.com/admin/privacy. Rest assured that if you just casually visited our site and left, you'd essentially leave without a trace

What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected

Individuals that either join UNA on-line or register for our training seminars using our online forms voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes, but only within UNA. We will not provide this information to any third parties without your consent. If you process your membership or training on-line with a credit card, we do not receive that information, only our processing partner, Auctionpay, which is a Verisign authorized encrypted processing company, recieves this information solely to process your charges.

IP addresses

UNA’s host server uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

Cookies

Some Web sites may save a "cookie" on your computer's hard disk to provide a temporary history of actions taken. Our Web site does not retain any record of these "cookies;” however, we welcome the donation of cookies (low-fat please, we're health conscious here) at our 175 S. Main Street business address.

How Your Information May Be Used

We use your personal information to provide you with personalized service, to send e-mail alerts to you, to answer your requests, to process your membership application, etc. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us. We may also use your information to track visitors to our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users' needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.

E-Mail Privacy

UNA does not sell or rent any collected e-mail addresses to anyone outside the organization. Any group communications will come directly from UNA from those who choose to be on our e-mail lists. You may always "opt out," either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.
