We work to build communities and a sense of belonging united by cultural connections by creating educational programs that acknowledge the contributions of Mexicans and Latinos in the USA through art. Art in all its expressions is the pathway to reflect on our past and present to find commonalities among one another.

Our mission is to create an atmosphere that enhances self-esteem, fosters independence and friendships, and creates a feeling of belonging. We believe in “letting kids be kids” through our programs, regardless of their age.

Center For Documentary Expression and Art

The Center for Documentary Expression and Art (CDEA) is dedicated to using the tools of documentary work—oral history, photography, film making, narrative writing, visual art, and music– to help Utahns look inward to better understand our state’s past and present and to gaze outward to discover our multi-faceted connection to the nation and the world. CDEA creates and supports projects that examine and honor the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic identities of our nation’s diverse population in forums wherein we can acknowledge differences, establish common ground, and hence, build community.

Friends of the Weber/Morgan County Children's Justice Center

The center was originally established to serve children 17 years of age or younger who are victims of alleged sexual or physical abuse. In recent years, there has been an increased demand for services for other crimes involving children, such as domestic violence, drug endangerment, and internet exploitation.

Utah Safety Council

The Utah Safety Council was founded in 1936, and established as the Utah Traffic Safety Council in 1939. In 1945, the scope of the Council's programming extended to non-traffic areas. From 1951 to 2001, the Utah Safety Council also functioned as a division of the Utah Department of Public Safety. In 1956 the Utah Safety Council became a Chapter of the National Safety Council.
