You’ve Got the Answers We’re Looking For!
The 2026 Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Survey is open! Your input helps build a stronger, more equitable nonprofit sector across Utah and the western region. It only takes about 30–45 minutes, and you can pause anytime (no being glued to your computer 😄). One person per organization, usually your Executive Director or HR lead, should complete the survey by November 14.
By completing the survey, you’ll:
- Get the full report free as a UNA member
- Access real data on salaries, benefits, and trends
- Strengthen equity and retention across the sector

Tools You Can Use
Very Mindful, Very Demure: Applying for Grants and Funding
Before you hit “submit” on that next grant application, take a moment to double-check the details. Review the wording carefully to ensure your organization is fully in compliance with all requirements. And don’t stop there! Dig a little deeper to understand where the funding actually comes from. Even if a grant appears to be from a state source, it may be tied to federal dollars, which can come with additional rules and reporting expectations. A little extra mindfulness now can save a lot of headaches later!

Advocacy
Nonprofits Don’t Have Big, Corporate PACs or Deep Lobbying Pockets—but We Do Have Each Other
Advocacy is how we protect our missions, secure resources, and push back against harmful policies. But this work doesn’t happen on its own. It’s powered by people like you.
Your support and membership fuels our ability to monitor legislation, mobilize quickly, and ensure nonprofits are heard—whether at the Capitol in Salt Lake City or on Capitol Hill in Washington.
If you're already a member—thank you!
Not a member? Join UNA today—because advocacy isn’t free, but it’s worth every ounce of support.
Not a Nonprofit? Donate to UNA—support the sector with your donation.
