Language That Uplifts: Reframing Your Stories to Build Trust and Drive Donations

“How we talk about our work matters more than we sometimes realize! The words we choose shape how donors, partners, and community members see us, and they also influence how deeply they engage with us. I’m excited to learn from Katie about using strengths-based language to move past deficit-driven narratives and spotlight the resilience, leadership, and assets of the communities we serve.”

From Data to Story: Communicating Nonprofit Impact That Inspires

"I'm looking forward to From Data to Story: Communicating Nonprofit Impact That Inspires. Using data to inform our programming is about so much more than generating boilerplate reports or fulfilling grant requirements. Finding the story in the data can allow nonprofits to target their impact to stretch their dollar. Moreover, it centers the voices of those we serve, making them not only beneficiaries but stakeholders and making nonprofit programming more equitable. Plus, I'm always on the look out for opportunities to learn skills that I can put into practice right away!"

Your support and membership fuels our ability to monitor legislation, mobilize quickly, and ensure nonprofits are heard—whether at the Capitol in Salt Lake City or on Capitol Hill in Washington.
